OPEN POSITION: GENERAL MANAGER

 

Studio 26, a growing eco-friendly fitness + wellness center in Chelsea, seeks a General Manager to anchor daily operations and provide strategic support in close work with the owner to aid the growth of this unique company. Position can be part- or full-time, depending on the candidate.

The Ideal candidate is thoughtful, principled, and dynamic. Please have experience and skills in administrative management, marketing, development, finance, or pr, and be adept managing and handling customer relations. An active interest in health, fitness + wellness and/or  green design/systems/sustainability is preferred though can be learned. 

 

Overall Focus:

The General Manager will execute in the following 4 areas (*percentages represent initial/sustained division of work)

•   Practitioner/Trainer + Customer Relationships (33/40%)

Operations / Facilities

•   Project Management via Asana

•   Vendor Management

•   Repair and Maintenance Schedule

•   New facilities / Construction

•   Landlord interface / Building Issues

•   Tidy / Clean

 

Finance

•   Billing and Invoicing via MindBodyOnline

•   Bookkeeping via Profitas

•   Budgeting, Projections, and Goal-setting

•   Financial Model Update

•   Report Generation

•   Payroll via Intuit

 

Marketing (future scope)

•   Social Media

•   Strategic Partnerships

•   Press

 

Desired Background and Experience:

•   Prior people management experience

•   Attention to detail

•   Ability to manage, track and complete multiple projects simultaneously 

•   High-end customer service 

•   Financial management/ being “math fluent” 

•   Vendor management and relationships

•   Use of business management systems (time tracking, scheduling, billing, project management)

 

Compensation:

Commensurate with Experience
